March Sales Tax Allocations Up Nearly 20 Percent

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced this week that he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts $913.3 million in local sales tax allocations for March.  According to Hegar, that is 19.8 percent more than in March 2021.

These allocations are based on sales made in January by businesses that report tax monthly.

The City of Austin is receiving $23,614,650.69, marking a 29.38 percent increase from March 2021.
