Mobile COVID treatment center coming to Travis County

COVID 19 HOSPITALIZATIONS UT PREDICTION GETTING WORSE

As cases of coronavirus rise across Austin and Travis County, a new monoclonal antibody infusion center is being rolled out this week in southeast Austin this Wednesday, literally as it is a converted 18-wheeler. People in high-risk categories who have contracted the virus can receive the antibody treatment. The hope is it will reduce the number of patients in the hospital.

Travis County Judge Andy Brown explains, most who qualify will be those over the age of 65, but adds, younger people with underlying health issues will be prioritized as well.
