The mobility authority continues to struggle with finding a solution to heavy backups on Winstead Lane. CTRMA’s Justin Word says they’ve looked at creating a dedicated lane for traffic entering southbound Mopac to reduce travel time by five minutes, but he says that would only cause problems elsewhere.
They’re now considering a dedicated lane under southbound Mopac, but he says something like that would be very expensive and time-consuming.
