The Round Rock Police Department says a major crash overnight Sunday involving multiple vehicles left multiple people dead and others seriously injured.
According to a tweet from Round Rock PD, shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Sunday night, three people died in that crash involving three different vehicles on FM 1431 between I-35 and Stone Oak Blvd. Four others were seriously hurt.
The crash led to the closure of 1431 between I-35 and Stone Oak for more than five hours.

The road was reopened shortly after 5:00 a.m. An investigation continues.
The crash in Round Rock was part of a particularly hazardous night on Central Texas roadways. Just after 9:00 p.m. Sunday, two people died in a crash at Colfax Drive and North Imperial Drive in Travis County. Three others were hurt, including a child, officials say.
Around 3:00 a.m. Monday morning, a motorcyclist ws hospitalized with potentially life-threatening injuries ater crashing on Stassney Lane, east of I-35. It’s unclear if another vehicle was involved.
