New Rates for Central Texas Tolls Take Effect

New toll rates took effect officially on January 1, 2023 for the 183A Toll, 290 Toll, 71 Toll Lane, 45SW Toll, 183 Toll, and the MoPac Express Lane. According to the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority, the 8.2 percent increase is consistent with the Consumer Price Index and will equate to rates approximately $0.04 – $0.14 greater than the current rates at each toll gantry for customers with active electronic tags driving two-axle vehicles.

The base rate on the MoPac Express Lane will increase by $0.05 cents and will not affect the variable pricing, CTRMA says.

183A Toll
This inflation-based adjustment adds $0.29 to the cost of a full-length trip on 183A Toll for customers with an electronic tag. The increase at individual tolling locations varies.

MoPac Express Lane
This adjustment will add $0.05 to the base cost of a trip on a single segment, or $0.10 to the cost of a full-length trip on the MoPac Express Lane for customers with an electronic tag. This increase does not apply to the variable toll rate.
