New ratings for the Austin ISD show plenty of room for improvement

On the surface, the overall district grade for AISD looks pretty good: a B.  But breaking things down into individual campuses, the Texas Education Agency has given an F to eight AISD campuses, including Mendez Middle School which, for six straight years, hasn’t met the minimum state standards.  Fs were also given to Burnet Middle School, Webb Middle School, Martin Middle School, Dobie Middle School, the Sadler Means Leadership Academy, Andrews Elementary, and Harrington Elementary.

Manor ISD and Del Valle ISD brought their scores up from last year.  Both had a D in 2018, but Manor now has a B and Del Valle has a C.  Only Eanes, Lake Travis, and Dripping Springs received an A this year.

This is the first year the TEA has given those A-F grades to the individual campuses.
