First responders were called to the scene of a crash early Monday morning involving a train and a pedestrian in South Austin.
Austin-Travis County EMS reported the crash just after 6:00 a.m. near West Mary and South 7th Street.
By 7:00 a.m., a victim had still not been located and ATCEMS called off its search. Austin police officers and firefighters remained on the scene before eventually reopening the road to traffic.
The scene was later cleared without any discovery of the victim’s body.
