Concluding a busy summer travel season, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is reporting another big month for passenger traffic growth. Officials say passenger volume during August 2021 was up 209.5% compared to August 2020, with 1,298,070 passengers flying into and out of Austin for the month.
Delta Airlines saw the biggest increase among individual carriers with a jump of 317% from a year prior.
Air cargo for the month of August, however, was down from August 2020. More than 18,079,000 poudns of cargo made its way through the region, marking a decline from a year ago of 9.3%.
