Pflugerville Council Approves Wastewater Treatment Investment

Pflugerville City Council takes another step toward creation of a major mixed-use development

The Pflugerville City Council this week has authorized a $1.5 Million construction contract with Pepper-Lawson Waterworks for the first phase of construction of the new Wilbarger Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant project, which will be capable of treating six million gallons per day . Also approved were professional services contracts for the construction phase of the facility, committing to an investment of more than $17.9 million.

The $200 million wastewater treatment facility will accommodate Pflugerville’s growth and service needs, officials said. Future construction phases will be brought forward for approval by the Pflugerville City Council over the next several months.

The wastewater treatment plant will break ground in summer 2023.
