Political action committee says approving Austin's massive bond package this fall is a good thing

The number is $925-million.  When numbers get that large, many taxpayers get antsy in anticipation of paying even higher taxes, but Ted Siff with the Austin Together PAC claims the average homeowner will only see about a $5 a month jump in the tax bill.

Siff and the council are mainly focused on seven propositions on the ballot, including affordable housing, parks, and cultural center — housing being the largest single portion of that package.
