4.  DELL SETTLES OVER DISCRIMINATION CLAIMS

Dell Technologies has agreed to a $7-million payout over allegations of racial and gender-based discrimination.  That money will be put toward lost wages, interest, and missed benefits to impacted workers.  Dell says the payout is not an admission of liability.

5. BAD NEWS FOR LADY BIRD LAKE

The City of Austin says its latest round of testing has shown the toxic blue-green algae that killed multiple dogs this year is still present on the surface at Red Bud Isle.  The city says the only safe swimming spot right now is below Barton Springs Pool.  The Watershed Department says it will spend the winter looking for a solution.
