Austin area tax watchdogs are not too happy with the City of Austin relaxing homeless ordinances and buying into a South Austin homeless shelter that neighbors oppose. Travis County Taxpayers Union founder Don Zimmerman sees it as an imbalance.
Zimmerman says private and charitable organizations can better solve Austin’s homelessness crisis than the city government can.
