Heavy rain overnight has caused the South Fork of the San Gabriel River to flood, closing parks and causing some evacuations near Georgetown. Meg Stephens was camping near the river to attend a wedding nearby when the call to evacuate came in. She says she watched from a second story balcony the water rise in the first floor to waist deep in 30-minutes. Rescue crews managed to get everyone out safely. The river is expected to recede by tomorrow.
