Task Force Busts Man Wanted for Child Indecency in Hutto

Members of the U.S. Marshals-led Lone Star Fugitive Task Force have arrested a man sought on two counts of indecency with a child by exposure from an incident that occurred in February of 2023.

Jackie Cardell Selby Jr., 35, of Hutto, was a suspect wanted by the Hutto Police Department for an incident that occurred February 19 of 2023, in the 300 block of Arnage Drive, where authorities were dispatched to a suspicious incident of a male masturbating in front of a juvenile.

The Hutto Police Department responded and investigated the incident and learned that two juveniles were victimized during separate incidents.

On February 14, Hutto Police obtained two warrants for Selby Jr. through a Williamson County Magistrate Court.

On June 11, the Hutto Police Department requested assistance from the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, Austin Division to locate and apprehend Selby Jr., who was last known to be in the Austin area.

The task force later learned that Selby Jr., had and additional warrant with Travis County on a bond forfeiture with an original charge of a sex offense.

On July 30, members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested Selby Jr. in the 17400 block of Toyahville Trail in Round Rock where he was found hiding under a storage shed behind a residence to conceal himself from authorities.

Selby Jr. was transported and booked into the Williamson County jail without incident where he will await judicial proceedings.

Selby Jr. was previously arrested by the task force in 2022 for an assault family violence with bodily injury that occurred in Round Rock.
