Travis County Commissioners switch gears on a connecting road for the western part of the county

Solving a big Western Travis County connectivity issue is part of what Commissioners were looking at.

It was part of their first-ever Transportation Blueprint. While most of the blueprint was non-controversial, one possible road that connects Highway 71 to Hamilton Pool Road, Reimers Peacock was taken out in favor of another road at Veil Divide.

The Veil Divide road would be less expensive but Commissioner Gerald Daugherty thinks Reimers Peacock will be built privately, possibly by Lake Travis School District or one of the neighboring cities like Bee Cave.
