The Kyle Police Department has arrested two teenagers in connection to a shooting at a party in Kyle, where a 17-year-old male was shot in the leg. The shooting took place in the early morning hours of Tuesday, November 26, in the 400 block of Old Stagecoach Rd.

Police responded to reports of shots fired at approximately 12:05 a.m. They were initially unable to locate the shooter. However, detectives and forensic investigators conducted a thorough investigation of the scene, which played a critical role in later identifying the suspects.

On Wednesday, November 27, officers responded to an unrelated call for deadly conduct, where they identified ballistic evidence that matched the previous night’s crime scene.

“It is through the diligent police work of Kyle police officers, detectives, and forensic investigators that the connection between these two incidents was established,” said Dr. Jeff Barnett, Kyle Police Chief.

Documented gang member Christian Jeffery, 18, of Kyle, and a 17-year-old male, who was a minor at the time of the incident, are facing charges of two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, along with other charges.
