Telemarketers are getting smarter about finding ways to get you to pick up the phone. Will Wilquist with the Federal Communications Commission says they are using a technique called spoofing. That’s when a number is used by the telemarketers on your caller ID that they believe you will pick up. Wilquist says once you do that, then they have a chance to give you the sales pitch. He says the best thing to do, just hang up.
