Attorney General Ken Paxton said AISD officials are against renting out their Performing Arts Center to Georgetown based Celebration Church because it holds traditional beliefs on marriage. Paxton says AISD must respect Religious Liberty Protections afforded churches under the Constitution and state law.
AG Officials add the district must provide churches with equal access to facilities it opens to community organizations. LGBT activists recently complained to AISD the church is against gay marriage.
