Even as Austin’s affordability crisis grows, more groups are coming out against a proposed Tax Rate cap in Texas. The Texas Municipal League’s Bennett Sandlin joins, local leaders like Austin’s Mayor Steve Adler. Sandlin says the real culprit is school finance.
Sandlin also said cities like Austin area already having a problem keeping up with transportation infrastructure needs as is, and the cap wont help.
