Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody has lost his re-election bid to his former chief deputy, Mike Gleason. Gleason will become the first Democratic sheriff in Williamson County since the 1980s. Chody was indicted in September on an evidence tampering charge dealing with the death of Javier Ambler in the custody of sheriff’s deputies.
