Travis County to pay over $31 million to complete improvement projects already approved

New rainfall intensity and floodplain maps recently released by the federal government means bond-funded improvement projects already approved by Travis County voters will become more expensive. Commissioner Gerald Daugherty realizes this means additional money needs to be found now to deal with completing safety projects.

Daugherty says he fears revenue caps that the upcoming legislature will likely impose could stymie the county’s funding efforts.
