Kendrex J. White, the man accused of stabbing four people on the University of Texas campus in May 2017 will go on trial next month, but there will be no jury present. Instead, a judge will preside over the trial who will determine whether or not White fits the definition of sanity.
The defense will argue that White was insane and could not differentiate between right and wrong when he began stabbing people with a large hunting knife outside of the Gregory Gym. Of the four people who were attacked, one of them — Harrison Brown — was killed.
A specific date has not been announced.
White faces one count of murder and three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
