After hearing from Texans across the state, the Texas Department of Transportation is planning for the future. Through the “Connecting Texas 2050,” the statewide long-range transportation plan, TxDOT toured the state last year to get input on multimodal transportation needs and potential strategies to meet those needs through 2050. TxDOT now has a draft plan available for review.
To facilitate public feedback on the draft plan, TxDOT will hold a statewide virtual public hearing on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. CDT online and via phone.
The purpose of the statewide virtual public hearing on “Connecting Texas 2050” is for participants to learn about the process to prepare a statewide long-range transportation plan, review the draft plan, and provide written or verbal comments.
TxDOT says the feedback is vital as the agency plans for the future in an ever-changing transportation system.
