The Texas Department of Transportation will host an open house to discuss the proposed improvements to FM 734 (Parmer Lane) from RM 1431 to SH 45 North, on Tuesday, Sept. 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Pearson Ranch Middle School, located at 18901 Pearson Ranch Road in Austin. The meeting will be an open house format with no formal presentation, so attendees can come and go at their convenience.
Proposed improvements include
- Expanding Parmer Lane from four to six travel lanes (three in each direction) within the existing right of way
- Improving intersections with additional turn lanes, where necessary
- mproving water quality for storm runoff (in cooperation with the city of Austin)
- Providing sidewalks throughout the corridor and a dedicated bike/ped path connecting Parmer Lane to the Brushy Creek Regional Trail
