The Texas Department of Transportation will host a virtual public meeting, with an in-person option, for a project on US 183 from SH 71 to SH 130. Specifically, TxDOT will gather more input for an environmental study.
The existing 4-lane highway is divided from SH 71 to FM 812, and undivided from FM 812 to SH 130. Multiple neighborhoods, businesses and other structures are located along or near the corridor, and the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is adjacent to the highway. TxDOT is proposing to widen and divide US 183 from SH 71 to SH 130 to address congestion and improve safety.
A virtual workshop will be available on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024, by 5 p.m. To view the materials, visit TxDOT.gov and search “US 183 from SH 71 to SH 130.” The materials will consist of informational display boards shown at the in-person workshop and opportunities to provide feedback.
The in-person option will be held on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Creedmoor Community Center, 12513 FM 1625, Creedmoor, TX 78610. Attendees will be able to review project materials, ask questions of TxDOT staff and leave written comments.
