Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody says they expect to file 15 animal cruelty charges to whoever owns the animals they found at a Georgetown home that were in poor condition. 14 of those were found dead. Chody says the conditions in the home were bad and though the owner was in the hospital for two days, what conditions deputies found took longer than that to occur
UPDATE 10AM:
The Williamson County Sheriff Office reports they found 14 dead animals in a Georgetown home. Some of those dead were found still locked in their cages. a total of 52 animals ranging from dogs, cats, chickens, peacocks and birds were found. the 38 surviving animals were taken to the the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter. Officials are calling it animal cruelty, but no arrests has been made.

More than 50 dead animals have been discovered on land in the Georgetown-area, according to a tweet from Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody.
Chody says the grisly discovery was made on Tuesday night when numerous dogs, cats, chickens, and ducks were found dead on the same piece of property. Some were found beheaded.
Officials have not given many details about the discovery of the dead animals, but Sheriff Chody is expected to give an update at some point on Wednesday.
