Austin’s Blood Bank We Are Blood says they are running dangerously low on blood, citing a resent volley of accidents and violent crimes in the Austin area, paired with low donor turnout. Officials say the recent rainy weather, agressive flu and alergy season is holding more people back. But the demand fo blood remains. We Are Blood explaind, they need about 200 donations a day to keep up with typical needs but noted they have not seen that level of support in some time. Donations can be made at there North Lamar, Round Rock and South Austin collection centers.
