Austin City Council is talking about city codes related to homeless people camping in public places. Members of Austin’s police force report the number of citations written around this ordinance has been on the decline in recent years.
Council is looking to ease the ordinance, but Mayor Steve Adler said it’s something the community has to come together on.
Council has posponed a vote on the easing till june 20th.
