The City of Austin has been given the green light from voters to borrow $925-million in bonds in what is now the largest voter-approved bond package in Austin’s history.  The package, comprised of Propositions A-G, cleared voters as follows:

Proposition A — $250 million for affordable housing-PASSED
Proposition B — $128 million for libraries, museums and cultural centers-PASSED
Proposition C — $149 million for parks and recreation-PASSED

Full passage of this bond package will undoubtedly impact tax bills.  Estimates show homeowners will see an extra $20-$200 annual increase, depending on the taxable value of their home.
