Western Travis County residents to give CAMPO an earful about Highway 71 issues

Western Travis County residents will sound off on the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization today at an open house meeting.

Safer 71 President Greg Short plans to be at the meeting advocating for State Highway 71. “Our biggest concern is apparently the state highway is not listed as a road of importance in the regional arterial plan or the CAMPO 2040 plan.” Short wants to get that road on top of mind. “We’re really going there to make sure that the CAMPO planners are aware of the fact that growth that has occurred along this corridor, there’s a distinct need to ensure that that it is on their radar and they’re thinking of that from a planning perspective.”

That CAMPO Public Open House is in Lakeway at the Lake Travis Community Library 1938 Lohmans Crossing Rd. from 4pm-7pm.
