As small businesses continue to reopen across America, some are asking clients to sign coronavirus liability waivers stating that they won’t sue if they get infected. Versions of these forms are popping up a gymnasiums, restaurants, salons and even on Wall Street. Consequently, attorneys say that they’re seeing an uptick in requests from business owners to design liability waivers. However, these notices don’t fully remove a customer’s right to sue. Meanwhile, some states have implemented some new rules to protect businesses if their workers or their customers get infected on the premises of their business. Those states include Alabama, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Utah.
More restaurants across the state have opened up to 75% capacity since Friday. 25% capacity for most is just not doable. 50% is not doable either for a lot of folks with the additional expenses, additional policies and procedures to follow.
