Lt. Governor Dan Patrick’s rolled out the latest COVID protocols for day one of the State Legislature next week. The Texas Senate is expected to gavel-in on January 12th and then adjourn for a while.
Rapid COVID tests will be required for All State Senator’s prior to entering the State Capitol, they’re limited to four guests, only one allowed on the chamber floor.
This will be State Senator John Whitmire’s 24th legislative session, “it’ll be short, to the point and then we’ll pass some rules. And then we actually plan to adjourn for a couple of weeks hoping the vaccinations will begin to take place. ”
Whitmire also pointed out that Lt. Governor Patrick had no mention of mask wearing, something Whitmire says he will push for mandating.
