According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, several players from both the Houston Texans and Dallas Cowboys tested positive for the Coronavirus. Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott was the only one positively identified as one of those individuals.

All of them have been supposedly isolating from team facilities and both teams have been following the proper health rules and regulations regarding this matter.

Rapoport confirmed on Twitter that he had spoken to Elliott’s agent about it. Elliott’s agent said that Elliott was feeling good.

Elliott did express his dismay on Twitter shortly after though, citing HIPAA in one of his tweets seeming to respond to the information being out. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability act was enacted in 1996 and the rule is meant to control the private medical information held by “covered entities” (health insurers and medical service providers) No confirmations have been made on where the information about him was procured.

The NFL has not made any announcements on the matter. As of right now, the NFL season is still set to begin Thursday, September 10th.
