Chris Beard Will Be The Next Head Basketball Coach at Texas
In a turn of events that absolutely no one saw coming… except for Jason and B-DOE who PUBLICALLY stated that he would be named the next head coach today.

According to ESPN, when Beard’s buyout dropped to 4-million today, both sides worked very fast to get a deal done.
The former Red Raiders head man is leaving a lot of history behind in Lubbock. He worked under both Pat and Bob Knight for 10 years before he was named head coach.
Beard’s Red Raiders were 18-11 this season with a quick out in the second round of the NCAA Tournament against Arkansas. This after making the Elite 8 in 2018 and getting to the Championship game in 2019.
He officially leaves Texas Tech with an overall record of 112-55 and a 49-40 record in the Big 12.

It seems the dominos are starting to fall so-to-speak… Chris Ogden, yes the same Chris Ogden who was team captain of the 2013 Final Four team, seems to be following his pal Chris Beard to Texas as well.
