Houston Texans Have Released JJ Watt
At the request of JJ Watt, the Houston Texans have released the 5-time Pro Bowler and 3-time Defensive Player of the Year.
Instead of a press conference or a statement, Watt released a video on his social media accounts.
Houston, I wanted you to hear this directly from me… pic.twitter.com/YqT3P6Lb6l

Not to be outdone… Watt’s brother and current Pittsburgh Steeler, TJ Watt, got in on the action with a “subtle” invite on where he should sign next.

JJ Watt leaves Houston after 10 years with 101 sacks, 409 tackles, 25 forced fumbles, 5 pro bowls and 3 defensive player of the year awards (one of 3 players to ever accomplish that).
Watt is free to sign with any team he desires… and it would shock me, personally, if he didn’t end up in Pittsburgh with his brother OR in his home state of Wisconsin with the Green Bay Packers. Either way, Watt came to Houston a class act and is leaving the exact same way.
Here is a nice tribute video made by the Texans
