New hope for those suffering from one of the most aggressive forms of Leukemia

A breakthrough out of MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston could make chemotherapy outdated for those suffering from the most aggressive form of Leukemia. Dr. Navel Daver said their phase II study of a new cocktail of drugs and immune boosters for Acute Myeloid Leukemia is showing strong results.

Daver said AML is no longer incurable, in fact a majority of the patients have a good shot at long term remission without the side-effects of chemotherapy.
