Fusion Centers in Texas part of Gov. Abbott’s School and Firearm Safety Action Plan

Some of Governor Abbott’s ideas for school safety are getting pushback from parents. Abbott wants to spend $20-million dollars on the Texas Tech Telemedicine, Wellness, Intervention, Triage and Referral project. It would require mental health surveys on kids that teachers believe might be dangerous.

Texas Parents are questioning some of Governor Abbott’s school safety strategies, specifically the ones that deal with the mental health of students.

Fusion Centers help identify threats that appear on social media and will help law enforcement intervene before violence occurs.
