Austin Woman Sues over Dog Attack on Austin Trail

An Austin women is suing a pitbull owner after she and her dog were attacked by two dogs on a trail in Austin. The dogs were involved in three other attacks since 2014. The woman and her dog suffered injuries with her pup having three surgeries.

 

In an related story, the Texas Supreme Court is set to review a case of a dog that lunged at a toddler at an adoption event in Dallas. Rusty the dog has been confined at Dallas Animal Services for the past 18 months to hear his fate. The Supreme Court will decide if he should be put down which leads to the question if the courts will have a say in whether or not a dog should be euthanized in such incidents.
