- Governor Greg Abbott signed an executive order yesterday to extended the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners and its licensing law until 2021
- The order is following outrage from state plumbers after lawmakers in the state abolished the board
- The board would have been abolished by September of this year but now they will be able to continue operations until 2021
- Governor Abbott said it is necessary to continue the board to address the destruction from Hurricane Harvey
- Plumbers were set to hold a rally to call for a special session to review the previous decision but now will instead hold a “thank you” rally
