Join This Group and You May Get Doxxed! UT Students Threatened

• An anarchist group called the Autonomous Student Network shared a tweet threatening to dox students who considered joining the Young Conservatives of Texas and Turning Point USA during freshman orientation
• Doxxing, or doxing, is when personal information is released about a person or persons like their names, photos, contact information and more
• The ASN tweeted: “Hey #UT23! Do you wanna be famous? If you join YCT or Turning Point USA, you just might be. Your name and more could end up on an article like one of these…” The tweet linked to other times the group doxed students. “So be sure to make smart choices at #UTOrientation.”
• The group consists of UT Austin students which actively encourages the harassment of conservative students
• UT administration says they are not a registered group on the campus and is working to make sure students are kept safe
