• The Hays school district is implementing more security at Hays High School and is requiring students are involved in at least one extra-curricular activity

• Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer is on administrative leave as the university investigates claims that Meyer knew about domestic-violence allegations against former wide receivers coach Zach Smith

• Police have arrested the suspect who allegedly drove over a curb before hitting and killing another man who was standing at a bus stop in South Austin.  52-year-old Darrell Smitty faces a charge of failure to stop and render aid
