Austin Water Utility gave the City Council a report this week on their performance during the inconceivable October flood that prompted a boil-water notice for the city. Mayor Steve Adler praised the process that led to it.

Adler said the notice did lead to people consuming less water which helped the utility recover quicker from flooding from the Llano River.

He notes while water may have been murky at times, it was never harmful.
