Austin’s Gross Domestic Product and economy puts it in 2nd place in terms of productivity and growth respectively.
Austin’s Manufacturing sector has seen real growth, enough to make up for more than 11{41b94ed60641855d30e715a04518d04419c2f56ef405d11541f9f93e1967c2b2} of Austin GDP. So says the Austin Chamber of Commerce’s Charisse Bodisch who notes she would still like to see more manufacturing.
Bodisch says as the manufacturing industry looks to tech more and more, businesses move to Austin because of the variety of Tech and basic talent available.
