Sources tell ESPN’s Adam Schefter that the Green Bay Packers have traded quarterback Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets.

The Packers are trading Rodgers to New York for a first-round pick swap, a second-round pick, a sixth-round pick and a conditional 2024 second-round pick.  The 2024 second-round pick will reportedly become a first-round pick if Rodgers plays 65% of his new team’s offensive plays in 2023.

Rodgers, a four-time MVP, joins a Jets team with a top-five defense in the AFC East. The Jets were fifth in yards allowed (5,288) and fourth in points allowed (316) last season; their offense features the offensive rookie of the year, wide receiver Garrett Wilson, as well as up-and-coming running back Breece Hall (whose rookie year was cut short due to an ACL injury).
