A renter who left behind ammunition and materials to make a pipe bomb could be in big trouble with the FBI and Williamson County authorities. Sheriff Robert Chody says a property manager in Round Rock found the items and alerted police who investigated and this morning found what looked like a pipe bomb. They called the FBI and Austin Police Bomb Squad.
Chody says in a tweet that the 400 block of Hillside Drive is closed ’til further notice and you’re asked to avoid the area. Chody says the area is secure now and neighbors have been notified.
Chody says the public is in no danger and no suspects have been arrested but the investigation is ongoing.
